Why does approval take so long :/
Attention Teen Artists!
Have you heard of Teen Voices? We are a print and online publication by, for and about teen girls. We are currently looking for art submissions by teen girls to feature in our print and online magazine. If you are between ages 13-19 and have a piece that you would like to submit for publication, you can learn more here: [link]
We would also like to invite female teen artists to participate in our Artist of the Month contest! Each month there is a new theme and you can submit up to three pieces of art for consideration. June’s theme is Dreams. What do you want to be when you grow up? What adventures do you want to experience? How are you going to get there?
You can submit your art here: [link] The deadline for this month’s submission is June 30 at midnight. The top pieces will be featured on our Facebook page and then fans can vote for their favorite art.
The winner of Artist of the Month will be featured in our online magazine, have their original piece on exhibit at Blick Art Materials in Boston and will receive a Teen Voices Artist of the Month t-shirt and a one-year subscription to Teen Voices. In January 2013, we will have the Artist of the Year contest. The Artist of the Year will receive a full scholarship (tuition, room, and board) to a three week Pre-College Summer Studio at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston ([link]), a $250 gift certificate to Blick Art Materials-Boston, participation in a group exhibition at SMFA, publication in our print magazine and use of your artwork as the inspiration for a Teen Voices writing contest.

Compete for a chance to win a full scholarship (tuition, room, and board) to the renowned SMFA's Pre-College Summer Art Studio-a $4,000 value! Spend three weeks living in Boston immersed in nine different artistic disciplines and begin to build a professional art portfolio.
This month, we want you to show us the love. Love comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. What do you think true love look like? Does it come in the form of a kind-hearted friend who always sticks up for you? Is love a faithful dog who waits patiently by the bus stop for you after school? Is it romance--is love simply the butterflies in your stomach from your first kiss? Is love always happiness, or does love also come with pain and heartache?
Get creative and show us where your heart lies this month.
